Ford has yet to release any reliable performance data for the 2013 Focus ST. Its claim of 0-62 in 6.5 seconds sounds too conservative. The closest comparison is the 2008-2009 Focus ST 3 Door which has similar weight 1317Kg-1392Kg and power 225 HP/236lb-feet. The 2013 Focus ST will be 1362Kg-1462Kg and 247 HP/ 250lb-feet. This gives a slight power to weight advantage to the 2013 Focus ST and it should have better acceleration compared to the 2008-09 model. I think a 0-60 of 6.0-6.1 seconds is not unreasonable and 0-62 of 6.2-6.3 should be more accurate as well. One website even claimed a 6.0 second 0-60 and quarter-mile of 14.4 seconds which will be awesome. (Ford 0-60 Times & Ford Quarter Mile Times | Ford Cobra 5.0 Mustang, Focus, Fiesta, F250, Ford GT 0-60, 2011 Taurus SHO, GT500 0-60, GT350 and Classic Ford 0 to 60 stats!). The 2008 Focus ST also posted a respectable lap time around the Nürburgring of 8 minutes and 35 seconds. (List of Nürburgring Nordschleife lap times - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) The 2008 model was even faster than the MazdaSpeed3 2007 around the Nürburgring. If the 2013 model is slightly faster it might be as fast as the 2010 MazdaSpeed3 without the annoying torque steer.
