Been wondering this as well. Other vehicles with ecoboost engines use throttle by wire, so I would imagine it is the same with the ST. Its been the trend for a while now, although cables can be a bit more responsive.

As much as I despise the TBW in my Fiesta, I have faith that Ford dialed in a lot more sensitivity into the go-pedal. I need to make a video of the crazy things that throttle does in my car... It makes it really hard to shift smoothly due to the throttle's tendency to hold the revs for some reason... I'll never understand this. It's not as bad as my dad's old Mini Cooper S, though. That car's throttle response was simply dangerous.

FBW means Fly By Wire or electronic throttle , not cable actuated. We mash a pedal, the sensor in the pedal talks to the computer the computer then controls the throttle.
Yep. From there is just a hop, skip, and a jump until Skynet takes over our cars and kills us all!
