I was pressured into buying a car in 2011, when I've been following the ST for years over in Europe. I'm a little mad that the Titanium didn't have a HID option, and the fact the DCT grinds 2nd and occasionally you can hear it grinding other gears. But other than that it's an amazing gas efficient luxury style, but I'm selling my R6 and figured I really need the extra power that the ST will be offering.:yay: Just wondering how many people are going to take a hit and trade theirs in for an ST? I'm thinking about it since the main reason I bought the focus was because I wanted the ST, so I'm thinking of taking a hit and going with the oxford white ST3, which sucks I lose a good amount of money off the Titanium and with that money I could have thrown into putting aftermarket stuff on the ST. lol My buddy just got the 12 Lan Evo he's already got it up to around 400 horse. But anyways Just rambling at the end, just wondering if other people are in the same situation!

P.S. Only thing I've noticed with the ST so far, was that it has a little gap between the hood and the front bumper. Not a big deal just kind of looks like the hood is popped!

I have a Titanium but I'm giving it to my wife and trading her 2001 Escort in on my ST3. Ford gave me a 5 year/75,000 mile Extended Service plan for free on the Titanium for all the BS I've gone through with MyFord Touch and I don't want to give that away let alone take the financial hit of trading it in.

The hood gap on the ST is supposed to be fixed on the production cars.

I am not trading in my Titanium but instead will be turning it over to my father who will be towing it behind his RV.

Trading in my Ti. Can't pass it down to my wife since she just got a new Focus SEL in Candy Blue and doesn't want to give it up for a tux black (she also refuses to learn a manual). Good thing I got A-plan, meaning I owe almost exactly what the car is worth, so no skin off my back.

Trading my 2012 SE, does that count? :) I totally would have bought a Ti, but refuse to drive auto.

I will be trading in my Titanium and am probably one of the few out there actually semi ok with the delay on the ST3 so that I have a bit more time to save up some cash to cover some of the negative equity I'll have. But honestly it's a no brainer and I don't care about a payment increase, this ST is everything I want. I LOVE the Titanium, hands down the best car I've ever owned and I've never received so many compliments on a car. And it's a FOCUS!!! Simply incredible.

The look/feel/styling to that car is light years above anything else I've owned (including Mustangs and Camaros) so it reallly doesn't bother me about the money. I'm not nuts about spending as much on the ST3 as I am but my Titanium has heated seats and ambient lighting now so I wouldn't want to lose those options. Plus HID/LED running lights is just so wicked I can't pass that up.

I've been VERY impressed with the handling abilities of the Titanium and to have a car with power AND handling even better than what I have now? Yeah, that's pretty close to my dream car. I mean a Z06 Vette is my absolute dream car but it's very out of reach financially so this is a perfect fit for me. I have the sedan now and am looking forward to the hatch so it's a win win for me even though it's gonna cost some extra $. Feel it'll be well worth it because it's an improvement on an already GREAT car. Will kinda hurt taking a few MPG less (getting 35.5 now) and using premium but again, still very much worth it to get that sound everyday and finally a car with some guts! Only complaint I have about the Titanium, too slow and zero power but other than that I don't think anyone here should be hesitant to trade in theirs! Sorry for the novel haha but this was a good thread since it directly applies to me :) This is my car now... 5.jpg

I have only traded in twice in 66 vehicles I've owned. I've likely sold 35 to 40 of them on Auto Trader. Just sold my 2011 Outback Limited to the first caller after 2 days. For me it's worth the small inconvenience to pocket an extra couple thou.

Alright this is the reason I made this thread! Jeeze, I didn't think anyone else would have the same point of view as me! To make matters better I'm getting the oxford white, and you have an avatar of it! :!!:
