My TS

Well, I have had my ST since September so I guess I'll make a build thread for my baby. I have Facebook to thank for this build thread, without it, I wouldn't be able to get the correct dates! lol

September 18, 2012
Bought my Tangerine Scream ST2 with TS inserts and Sunroof for options after trading in my 2012 Fiesta SES.

I have learned that, with cars like these, less is more, lol. These are the wheels I'm looking to put on it...
emotion11r-189538-004.jpg

The issue is going to be deciding on a 17x9 or 18x8.5 (with a more aggressive offset). Work charges $60/wheel for a custom PCD which will allow me to not have to run an adapter plate to change the PCD to a 5x114.3 instead of 5x108.

I also created the decal going down the driver's side on it...wasn't sure how it would look or if I would like it.

17x9's w/ a 38et will fit fine with a mild stretch...some guy on that 'stance' forum is running 19x9 wheels with something like 33et offset, but he had to roll his fenders...plus he's slammed out the yingyang on his '12 model focus

still, his thread has set the precedent on what the car is capable of handling...so I think a mild stretch on a 17" rim would work for you

Well, the white fell through...

The closes one was in WV and the shipping price was gonna be $500, which was going to get taken off my trade in, so instead they gave me more money for trade in, plus are gonna pay 50% for me to get the windows tinted on it.

For the sake of price, I've decided on a set of Varrstoen ES 3.3.1 wheels in 18x9.5 +34. I still plan to get them in black and am gonna see about painting my calipers TS to break up the blackness that ill be my wheel wells. I'm gonna stick wit the stock tires for now and when it comes times to replae them i'm gonna go with a 245/30/18 just to get a little more meat on the ground.

Does Varrstoen make the 5x108 bolt pattern?...that size wheel should fit but you'll definitely have to roll your fenders if you plan on lowering the car. I'd do a little measuring before you decide to go with a meaty tire though. Our cars weren't meant to handle 9.5" wheels, so we have to get creative to make them fit.

They can redrill them.

EDIT: Also just found the wheel/tire calculator posted over on FJ and put it to use...this looks fun, lol

Got a bit of bad news from my dad when I arrived home on Friday...

He was backing my car up and scraped into his F-150. The right side mirror had ice on it. Luckily insurance is covering it and he's paying the deductible.

On a happier note, I got my TTR PSMM installed. I also drained my catch can while I was under the car and it filled a coke can by about 1/4-1/3.

Yep a bit too much rim and not enough tire there...

Really good looking rims too.

I think I've settled for trying to find a set of +40's. Might put Tarmacs on them if they have them available when I'm ready to buy. Black tarmacs w/ TS calipers.

post some pics of those bad boys when they get installed. Ground shots from the rear under the car are a great view. There is going to be allot of meat on the pavement.

I always have an issue of decisions because now I'm thinking of going with the Team Dynamics 1.2 and get them powder coated gloss black and have the lettering painted white. Eventually I'd like to find a set of 9's or 9.5's but that'll be when I decide to drop $2k on wheels.
