Thank you to STephen from Germany for posting this PDF. What is very difficult about translating this document is the fact that there are three different languages. However I did my best to translate it for all of us.

The rest of the information I see no importance because it won't matter in the USA, or nothing we do not already know about the engine.

Techno

I would not worry about it costing $1000. The pricing is not close or scale-able to the USD. The swiss franc is almost equal to the dollar, but I am sure that 1 swiss franc is not equal to 1 dollar when you are talking about buying power. However, yes most special/metallic paints do cost more. :) Case in point Candy Red costs $395 more than say Oxford White.

Everyone, ignore the pricing. Its not realistic. In fact I have been reading around, and Swiss cars do cost more than cars in Germany. If anything they cost 30% more. STephen chime in if you care.

Thanks for posting... good stuff. I am bothered that the Tangerine Scream might not be an option on the ST1 trim level, though the ST2 trim level might be worth upgrading to anyway.

I really hope heated seats are a line-item option and that you don't have to go to ST3 to get them. That'd be nice :)

Chad - great job translating the brochure. Where the h*&# did you pick up the ability to translate German/Swiss (whatever language that brochure was written in  )? I looked at the original and couldn't make out a word!

Its called Google, 4 hours of patience, and a lot of determination. Although, i had to use all three languages to get the translation correct on many items.

Other items:
  • Win Word
  • Win Excel
  • HTML coding
  • Adobe PDF Pro
  • A website like mine
Poof! Translated!

Thank you for the kudos. :D

Oh right one more item of interest... Switzerland has 4 official languages. German, Italian, French and Romansn.

According to this, ST1 and ST2 can be optioned with it, but we all know this is optioning for Europe, and NOT NA. Just remember that when we get our information.

However, I know I want headed seats for sure, I have it on my Fiesta, and its a great option.

Fantastic information. Thanks for going through that and translating it. Good stuff for sure. I was really hoping to see a brembo option ala cart. I hope the options packages change a little bit for the US. But all in all it's looks really really good. Can't wait for our offical info.

I'm not sure how to take a pic off the screen and move it here but focaljet jet has a pic of the US information that was just delivered to US dealers a couple of days ago and it show the different packages and what we are getting. It's on pg 3 in the 2012 ST Forum - Are you tired of waiting thread. If someone could post that here.

lol. Sorry for all the post in a row. Just excited is all. lol

It doesn't look like we are going to get a lot of stand alone options. It appears HID with ST3 only. :( But it does say that it will take 87 octane. It also mentions overboost that ups the amount of TQ from 250 to 266. Has anybody heard of anything before about the overboost? I seemed to have missed that. What is it?

It also appears to come standard with the MyKey feature. Isn't that the keyless start?

Uggh. So much infor all at once. I'll digest this and come back. lol

MyKey is not the keyless start. There is a specific line item "Pushbutton start" for those that have push-button. On the current titanium's the package is called "Intelligent Access w/ pushbutton start"

So you brake jobs will be more expensive but you'll have about the same stopping distance?
