If my full interior 160whp naturally aspirated 01 Focus could do a 14.5 @ 96mph, i have high expectations for this.

I used Edmunds Inside Line for the 2012 Focus and 2010 Mazda stats and Road & Track for the 2003 Focus because Inside Line didn't have all the specs for the 2003.

I just wonder which curb weight they are listing when they say 3,223 lbs. Is it ST3 w/moonroof, or ST1 Base no moonroof? Most cars I've seen, there is more than a 100 lb difference once you add the moonroof glass and motor, leather seats, seat motors/heater, NAV, etc. And that can make a significant difference.

On the Honda Civic, for example:
LX - 2678 lbs (Automatic, No Moonroof, No Leather, No NAV)
EX - 2745 lbs (Automatic, Power Moonroof, No Leather, No NAV)
EX - 2767 lbs (Automatic, Power Moonroof, No Leather, NAV)
EX-L - 2778 lbs (Automatic, Power Moonroof, Leather, NAV)

Curb weight is always the least bloated version.

An EAP ZX5 SVTF went down the road fine at 2980lbs and 170hp.

I wouldnt worry too much.
