I have a 2017 Focus st with 62k miles. Went to Walmart last night and let my drunk “friend” set in it and being the nice guy I am I left the keys so he could listen to the radio. When I came out I smelled an awful burning smell like clutch burning. Long story short when I got to the car the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor and It wouldn’t go into gear. Towed it home and now the pedal gets tight towards the bottom, it will go in gear but stalls as soon as I let the clutch out. Wasn’t leaking until I got it home and even now there’s only a small amount of fluid at the bottom of bell housing. reservoir level is fine. Car still reeks of burnt clutch. I’m assuming he tried taking off in 3rd and smoked it but I’m wanting to make sure that’s the only problem before I replace it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need it drive able by Tuesday to go to work ? thanks guys
