It seems there is some debate on this. They need good faith money? Does Ford Mo. Co. Require it, or is it a dealers wife's tale?
It just depends on your dealer, your relationship with them, how bad they want your business, and if they are afraid of losing the sale. I'm sure there are lots of dealers that would order a car with no deposit, but I'm not going skip over a dealer simply because they want a deposit. It's just not that big of a deal.
The Ford dealer I ordered from is about 2 minutes from my house, and it is simply way more convenient than driving to the next closest Ford dealership 35 minutes away. So I really don't mind if they require a few hundred dollar deposit before placing a vehicle order.
Also, sorry about my post edits, I forget stuff and always see typos haha
