Hi guys,

I noticed this before and forgot to ask about it at the dealership but I wanted to see if you have same issue.

The parking brake is very sensitive, any bit of upwards motion, be it a tap, the parking brake light comes on and the chime comes on. While the fix is just to push the handle down again, it doesn't feel "down", its almost springy. Basically my option is to put it all the way down and hope that my thigh, hand, or a slight breeze doesn't come in to lift it up a millionth of a millimeter to engage the parking brake light.

Anyone else experiencing this? This is the ST1 model parking brake. Thanks!

First I've heard of the problem.

I've had no issues with the e-brake staying disengaged.

Mine does the exact same thing. Most of the time I disengage it, drive 2 feet and it chimes. Ive just learned to push it down a couple of times before driving off.

For those having the problem, do you have an ST1/2 or an ST3? I think that info may help others. The handbrakes are different between the two optioned cars, at least the visible parts from the console up are different anyway (not sure about parts beneath). I haven't had any issues with my ST3.
