When I was 19 I had a few, almost lost my license due to points. Then I got a radar detector (first a V1 now an Escort Redline) and I've gotten 1 ticket since then (I was in a work car, sans detector). I've gotten a few "rolling" stop sign tickets since I started driving manuals, but that's it.

No tickets in ST so far ...largely because i know all the speed traps and i dont drive over 85 ..our police are all about revenues from unsuspecting drivers ...its really sad they prey on out of state drivers. Dont ever speed if you drive thru washington county va ...you will get busted .

First ticket in 20 years ...sadly wasnt in the ST but in my f150 ...the tank that rolls like butter...
I got one ticket in 10 years in my tundra. California stop - pretty petty I thought. and two tickets in a focus in the past two years. the first was out of a state in a rental that inspired me to buy a focus. i ran a red light and got the ticket in the mail a couple months later. the good thing about that ticket was it was not considered a moving violation (Washington state).

i recently got a speeding ticket in my ST for passing on hwy 1. probably came around the guy at 85-90 but the CHP who was parked on the roadside gave me a ticket for 70 in a 55. ill be going to driving school soon. last time was 5-6 years ago so i figure i was due....

Been close once. Returning from the octane academy on I 80 in WY, speed limit was 80 and I had the cruse set for 84. Cop said I was doing 86, guess the cruse control could be a bit off, but I think it had more to do with the Colorado plates. Anyway I only got a warning, but now that weed is legal here, it's a challenge getting through neighboring states without getting pulled over.

Got a 120 fine / ticket for no plate on the front of the car. Tore off the hide a plate on a curb and with temps never above 34 for the month (February) I hadn't reattached it. Made no difference that I showed it had been fixed to the car. I assume that little town will have been able to make a payment on their new cruiser thanks in part to me...
