...ooor it's just that good?Dang..did these guys get paid or what? I meant they say they can't stop driving it.
I've seen some grumbling around the forums about Ford marketing campaign, but this has all the indicators of selling out big time.
All of the above was tongue and cheek, it's just such a gushing review...In all the years I've been following them, I've never heard of Top Gear selling out to anyone. If they don't like a car they aren't afraid to say so.

That goes just the same for some of those other review sites. There are Ford vehicles there that get bad reviews, so....?
This is what it's starting to look like. A sell out product ( vs sell out review...ooor it's just that good?
I liked the 40mpg the most! This is what it's starting to look like. A sell out product ( vs sell out review)
1 UK Imperial Gallon = 4.55 litresI liked the 40mpg the most!
40mpg would've been awesome! 30mpg will be good! I get 19-20mpg in my stang driving it like I stole it(most of the time). 23-25mpg chilling on the E-way. If I can get 30mpg driving with no regard to mpg's, I will be happy!1 UK Imperial Gallon = 4.55 litres
1 US Liquid Gallon = 3.79 litres
40 X 3.79 =151.6
151.6/4.55 = 33.3 MPG US. Still excellent for this type of car.
This, ^^Well if you think about it, the Gen 3 Focus platform has been getting great reviews about the chassis since its introduction. Most magazines tested them in comparison tests WITHOUT the handling package in titanium trim and still gave glowing reviews. Only drawbacks were MFT and Powershift transmission. Car and Driver said it was one of the best, if not the best front drive platforms out there. They even compared the ride/handling balance to (GASP!!) BMW levels. So ford had two years to fine tune even further and perfect something that's already pretty good and y'all are surprised at the glowing reviews? They've gotten rid of weak link transmission and put in 6 speed, added power and technology, and (somewhat after version 3.0) improved MFT. Im not the least bit surprised at all the glowing reviews. My Titanium (with handling pkg ) is an amazing little car that is unbelievably tossible and sticks like glue. Rides great as well even with the 40 series 18's. Only complaint is power which ST will address. Trust me these reviews are right in line with what i already feel about my car without the extra power. If you don't own one, or have never driven one, go to dealer and that drive a titanium with handling package. Youll see....... I can't wait till my ST comes in!
Next door neighbor has a Mazdaspeed3 that's rated at 18/25 (about same HP and weight). He says he drives it like he stole it, gets 23 to 24 and when he does do a lot of highway driving he gets just under 30. I'd expect real combined mileage of 28 and highway approching 35 in this car after it's broken in.40mpg would've been awesome! 30mpg will be good! 39.2 mpg is the official number for combined mpg, or 32.5 US, which would be fantastic considering everything this car offers. However, one of the Brit rags (Autocar I think) said that in their spirited testing, they got ~15 mpg. I have a feeling you could fill the tank after a fun-filled road trip weekend and show 18 mpg, then fill again after a week's reserved and responsible commuting (probably not many of us, but a few perhaps), and get twice that. What's that they say?...oh yeah, "your mileage may vary"!40mpg would've been awesome! 30mpg will be good!
